…looks Spring-y and fresh, yet indulgent all at once!

Saturday afternoon, Eric and I had a text duel whereby I stood no chance.

Work and life is taking me to many a city over the next month - Toronto was last week, with Atlanta, Chicago, Memphis and New Orleans all to come by mid May. I won’t bore you with all the details, but I will post anything worth sharing during my city hopping!
First up, a few noteworthy restaurants from Toronto. I’ve always heard Toronto has amazing food, but this was the first time I really got to experience it.
1. Susur Lee’s “Lee“

Super hip atmosphere in an adorable neighborhood (King West), but most importantly, the Pan-Asian food was fantastic and fun to eat - we did the chef’s tasting menu (Susur himself was there that night). My favorite was their signature dish, the Singapore Slaw (featured above) - dreaming of it ever since! A few other favorites were the salmon ceviche and the Top Chef green curry chicken.
2. Frank at AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario)

True to its gallery setting, super sleek, minimalist presentation. Beautiful ingredients (blood orange and beet salad - to die for!) and our server was over the top nice and helpful, in true Canadian fashion. We found out about it because our client is getting married there - such a fun venue choice!

Work in progress mood board for an upcoming shoot for a friend’s t-shirt company. The concept isn’t as tight as I’d like yet, but it’s slowly forming. Excited for my first fashion-y shoot, and this gritty, moody style is going to be a real stretch for me.
If you have any other sources of inspiration that might help me out (film scenes, photogs, etc), feel free to send them my way.

WHEW. I’ve never felt such a pang of relief after seeing blooms for the first time of the year! I guess I truly didn’t believe it was really going to happen.
