Berkshires Birthday
Scenes from Eric’s birthday trip to The Berkshires. Last year, he surprised me for my 30th with a trip to Hudson, so this year it was his turn. We stayed at the adorable Porches Inn at Mass MoCA and explored North Adams as well as other Berkshire towns - Williamstown, Stockbridge, Lenox and more. The perfect winter / birthday getaway!
Advice
Just in case anyone is plotting dates or is a fellow Sag considering dating another Sag, I’d highly recommend NOT having your anniversary, 2 birthdays, Christmas and New Year’s all in the same 2 weeks, which are also the busiest work weeks leading up to year end. All I can say is thank goodness we are getting married in May…I am about to just throw the towel in on all of it. So...

A few more favorites from Jack’s shoot last week. I just heard that he started walking today. Though his mom was wanting him to walk ASAP, I was secretly glad he wasn’t fully mobile when we took the pictures - makes life much easier for me!
Forbes: The Science of Yoga →

Anyway, when Katie got in touch with me over Facebook to take photos of her 1 year old boy, Jack, I was thrilled! It was an easy and...
45 Most Powerful Photos of 2011
Warning: This should be re-named the “45 Most Depressing Photos of 2011.” The one below especially got me right in the gut.
Slain Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson’s dog “Hawkeye” lies next to his casket during funeral services in Rockford, Iowa. Tumilson was one of 30 American soldiers killed in Afghanistan on August 6 when their helicopter was shot down during a mission...
NYT: Agua Fresca Restaurant, East Harlem →
Though there’s more decent restaurants popping up in our area (Red Rooster, Harlem Tavern, Earl’s), options are still really limited. In East Harlem, while we prefer Camaradas or El Paso for the atmosphere, Agua Fresca wins by far in terms of food. Their skirt steak is one of our favorite dishes in all of NYC. It’s great to see them get some positive press. If you’re ever...
