I’ve been central to the park and listened to horse hoofs on pavement,

while the accents of a million nations melt together.

I have thrown in my own southern drawl, happily uniting my story in the movement.

I’ve been opening doors, expanding thoughts, extending my thanks for the gifts offered to me amongst the towering buildings and glimmering lights.

I’ve been spreading the news.
